The Beating

Hi I'm Dave Chua. This blog is just a place to let folks know that they can read a short story I wrote way back in 1995. It was a joint first prize winner that year for the SPH-NAC Golden Point Award. I believe a story by playwright Jean Tay was the other winner. Since it looks like it won't be published for a while, I decided that it be made available for download here. Some parts definitely make me cringe, but I'd rather leave it be. I'll post my thoughts about the process of writing it here, but not today.
